Hence, there are many different possibilities for connection problems between your sources and Victrola record player.
So, in this guide, we will explore everything in a step-by-step guide and help you uncover and resolve your problem.
Here’s what you can do when Victrola turntable Bluetooth is not working:
Let’s unwrap all of these steps in detail!
Victrola Record Player Bluetooth Not Working – [8 Solutions]
Before you start: Have you tried restarting the Bluetooth feature on your source device?
1. Activate Turntable Bluetooth Mode

If your Bluetooth source (smartphone or computer) cannot discover the Bluetooth profile of your Victrola record player, you may need to activate the mode.
If you take a look on the right side of the suitcase-styled Victrola player you’ll find the BT/Line-In/PHONO knob for mode switching.
Well, each of these mods has its own purpose:
- BT – Enables the Bluetooth mode (Victrola is now discoverable).
- Line-In – The turntable uses the AUX input for the audio playout.
- PHONO – The player will spin the platter for listening vinyl records.
So, if you’re unable to find and connect to the Bluetooth profile of the Victrola record player, turn the mode’s knob to the “BT” option.
Then wait a few seconds, refresh the Bluetooth screen on your wireless source device, and wait until the Victrola record player’s Bluetooth profile appears.

2. Unpair Victrola from Other Devices

When you connect a Bluetooth device to your Victrola record player, the Bluetooth profile will get remembered (saved) on the source.
This means that if this device is in range and the Bluetooth is enabled when you switch Victrola to the “BT” mode, the turntable will connect automatically.
So, if you’ve connected a Bluetooth device to your Victrola in the past, and now the new device can’t connect you have to unpair the previous one.
This might be your computer, laptop, or another smartphone, so if your Victrola record player is currently connected, simply disable the Bluetooth on the source.
This will unpair the Bluetooth profile of your record player, and you should be able to instantly connect with your new source.
Note: On many smartphones, to fully deactivate Bluetooth, you need to reach into the settings!
3. Shorten your Bluetooth’s Distance

It’s common knowledge that if your Bluetooth source is too far away from your Victrola record player, you may not be able to connect.
So, the next best step you should attempt is to move your Bluetooth source right next to your turntable, just to check whether you will connect.
- The recommended Bluetooth signal distance is no more than 15 feet.
If you can connect to the Victrola record player when your source is closer, this explains your issue instantly.
Just, keep your Bluetooth device closer to the record player while connected.
Quick Tip: When you shorten the distance, turn off and on the Bluetooth on your source device!
4. Soft-Reset your Victrola Turntable

A quick thing you should attempt, before continuing further is performing a full soft reset on the Victrola turntable.
This will not affect your record player in any way, just restart everything and discharge the device from residual power, which might be enough to fix your Bluetooth issue.
- To power cycle your Victrola record player, disconnect the power cord on both sides for 60 seconds and connect the adapter directly to the outlet.
When the soft reset is completed, verify that the BT/Line-In/PHONO knob is set to “BT”, restart the Bluetooth feature on your phone, and try to connect again.
Note: Are you sure your source is not automatically connecting to a different Bluetooth device?
5. Forget Victrola and Connect Again

If you still face the Victrola record player Bluetooth problem, especially after being successfully connected, you may need to Forget and reconnect.
This will clear the Bluetooth connection’s cache data, and provide you with a fresh connection in which everything must be working well.
Here are the instructions for forgetting Bluetooth profiles for different systems:
- Android: Settings → Connected devices → Connection preferences → Bluetooth → Victrola → Forget or Unpair.
- iOS: Go into the Settings app → tap Bluetooth → select Victrola → Info (i) → Forget Device → Forget
- Windows → Click the Bluetooth icon in the tray → Select the Victrola profile → right-click → Forget.
When your Bluetooth source is disconnected from the Victrola record player, refresh the list and tap on the connection again. When paired, try to stream some music to check whether it works.
Note: Don’t forget to keep your Bluetooth source close to the turntable to prevent signal issues.
6. Eliminate Sources of Interference

The Bluetooth connection, such as any other radio-frequency signal is prone to interference.
So, if you’re connected but the Bluetooth connection is not working, you must locate and remove any sources of interference. This is easy, as you may only need to turn off or dislocate devices.
Here are some common sources for RF interference:
- Microwave ovens and cordless phones.
- Other Bluetooth devices within close range.
- Wireless routers, modems, or gateways.
- Shiny reflective surfaces or any mirrors.
- Metal objects near the Victrola turntable.
- Phone cases and physical obstructions.
Important: We recommend temporarily turning off the Bluetooth feature on any nearby devices.
7. Reset your Bluetooth Configuration

Note: Skip this step if you’re using a device different than an iOS or Android smartphone!
This method is a bit harsh but might turn out to be the only solution against the Victrola record player Bluetooth issue.
In most cases, the problem is not in the turntable, rather than with your Bluetooth sources, so if you’re using a smartphone, resetting the network settings might help.
Warning: This method will erase Bluetooth profiles, cellular settings (APN), and saved Wi-Fis.
How to Reset Network Settings on Android?
- First, head to the “Settings” on your Android.
- Locate “General management” or “System”.
- Enter the “Reset” or “Reset Options” section.
- Select the “Reset network settings” option.
How to Reset Network Settings on iPhone?
- First, go to the “Settings” app on the iPhone.
- Head to the “General” tab from the menu list.
- Scroll all the way down in the following menu.
- Tap the “Transfer or Reset [iPhone]” option.
- Press “Reset” → “Reset Network Settings.”
Note: The process will require a restart on your smartphone to complete the network reset.
8. Pair Victrola with a Different Bluetooth

If you’ve tried everything, but you’re unable to connect to the Victrola’s Bluetooth or you can, but something is not working, this may be a compatibility issue.
The Victrola record player supports Bluetooth 4.0 or higher, and if you’re attempting to pair a very old device, this may never work.
To wrap things up, we recommend attempting to pair a different device, such as a smartphone, just to check whether everything will work smoothly.
If yes, then the issue is not with the Victrola record player, but with the previous device, probably due to a compatibility-related fault.
Can’t Connect with Any Device?
If you can’t connect or the Bluetooth pairing is not working with multiple devices, the problem is likely to be with your Victrola record player.
The final step is to get in touch with the support or try to file a reclamation to the merchant and hopefully get a replacement or your money back.
