How to Fix Meta Quest 3 Says No Command Error? (Quick Fix)

If your Meta Quest 3 says no command and not booting the system, in general, there is no specific reason for this error.
For some users the message appears due to a lack of available storage, for others, it appears after a factory reset.
Sometimes, the error simply appears during OS bootup and prevents the devices from loading the operating system.
Luckily in this guide, we’ve found a few working ways to fix this issue:
Meta Quest 3 Says No Command – Fixed in 6 Easy Methods!
Note: Have you tried turning the Meta Quest 3 headset Off and then On?
1. Check for Stuck Volume Buttons

In many cases, the dead Android icon and the “No Command” message appear when you try to access the Safe Mode.
This is a well-known bug, which can be resolved by resetting the VR headset, so the entire “No Command” error may be a result of an inability to access Safe Mode.
Info: Safe Mode is also known as “Recovery Mode”.
So, if you’ve held the Power button and accidentally pressed Volume Down, perhaps your VR headset attempted and failed to enter Safe Mode.
The quick solution is to check whether the Volume Down or even the Volume Up button is stuck or being pressed accidentally.
Typically, restarting the headset will boot up the operating system.
Note: If your purpose is to access Safe Mode, but you see the “No Command” error, jump to solution 6 to factory reset your VR headset.
2. Hold the Power for 〜15 Seconds

The best working solution against the “No Command” error is simply holding the Power button on the VR headset for about 〜15–20 seconds.
This will force-shutdown the Meta Quest 3 headset and then by a single tap of the Power button you should be able to boot the operating system.
If, for some reason, pressing the Power button does not boot the operating system, and you still see the “No Command” screen, keep reading.
Important: It’s crucial to verify that you’re not pressing one of the Volume buttons along with the power button when turning on/restarting the headset.
3. Fully Charge Your Meta Quest 3

Sometimes the “No Command” message simply appears whenever your Quest 3 doesn’t have enough battery charge to perform the action you’re attempting to execute.
Hence, if you receive the error upon booting your Quest 3, after a factory reset, or before update, charge the device.

In some cases, you may receive the “No Command” message as a result of overfilled storage because of a large number of apps/content on your Quest 3.
