Yealink Phone Not Receiving Incoming Calls – Quick Fixes!
Tip: Have you tried removing and placing the handset back on to “wake up” the phone?
1. Stop the DND (Do Not Disturb) Mode

The first and most common cause for missed or undetected incoming calls on Yealink is the activation of the “DND” (Do Not Disturb) feature.
When activated, this setting automatically forwards all callers to the phone’s voicemail, which later shows up in the “Missed Calls” list.
It’s really easy to manage the DND of your Yealink phone, so here are the steps:
- Optional: Check if there’s a “DND” button on your home menu.
- Press the “Menu” button on Yealink and navigate to “Features.”
- Highlight and select the “DND” tile from the list of functionalities.
- Next, select the “DND” or “Do Not Disturb” tab from the options.
- Choose “Disable DND” and test the ringer of the Yealink device.
Note: Callers who have contacted your number while the DND mode is active won’t be notified of this and will be sent straight to voicemail instead.
2. Adjust the Ringer Volume of Yealink

Your device could still be receiving calls, but you may be unable to hear the ringing, because of a turned-down ringer volume.
The ringer volume of the Yealink phone defines how audible the phone will ring when someone is calling.
To adjust the ringer volume of the Yealink phone, the device must be hooked up, turned on, and idle.
Use the “Volume” knob on the face panel of the phone to turn up the ringer magnitude and have a friend or a family call you for a test.
How to Adjust Ringer Volume While in a Call?
You’re also able to tweak the Yealink phone’s ringer volume while on a call.
Simply press the “Menu” key on your handset or phone to access the menu, which will take you to the volume configuration page and automatically minimize the call.
3. Disable “Call Forwarding” On Yealink

The “Call Forwarding” feature on Yealink allows you to forward an incoming call to an external number or an internal extension.
The feature is initially intended for larger offices and that’s the reason why your phone could be missing out on the incoming calls.
Follow these steps to disable the Yealink phone’s call forwarding:
- On the Yealink phone, navigate to “Menu” → “Features.”
- Select “Call Forward” from the phone’s options section.
- Select the desired forwarding type from the tab below.
- Choose “Disabled” or “Off” based on your phone model.
- Select “Save” to register the changes and test the phone.
So, upon enabling the call forwarding, you will be taken to another settings menu to assign the necessary settings for the forwarding.
Note: If you do not wish to disable the feature, forward it to another Yealink number and test the incoming calls through a second phone.
4. Check if the Yealink Caller is Blocked

One of the possible reasons why the Yealink phone not receiving calls is because you may have accidentally suspended the caller’s number.
All Yealink SIP and VoIP phones have the so-called “caller blacklist” which stores the numbers of suspended callers that can no longer reach you.
Follow these steps to check blacklisted numbers on a Yealink phone:
- Press the “Menu” button on the right corner of the phone panel.
- Scroll down to the “Directory” section and press the Select key.
- Navigate to the third “Blacklist” option within the “Directory” page.
- Highlight the number you wish to remove from the phone blacklist.
- Hit the “Option” button and select the “Delete” option from the tile.
Note: Now, the whitelisted caller can uninterruptedly contact your Yealink number!
5. Reset the Yealink Phone’s A/C Supply

If the calling problem is still there, we strongly recommend conducting a power cycle on the Yealink phone, in case there’s a fluctuation with the A/C supply.
The Yealink phone could be rebooting or turning off without you even noticing, resulting in an issue with the incoming calls.
Follow these steps to reset the Yealink phone’s power supply:
- Long press the Power Key or On-hook Key until Yealink turns off.
- Disconnect the power jack from the back of the phone’s back panel.
- Unplug the other end of the cable from the supplying power outlet.
- Wait for 30–45 seconds while the phone is unplugged from power.
- Connect the Yealink phone on both ends and test the incoming calls.
How to Inspect a Yealink Phone for Power Issues?

There are other troubleshooting tips besides the power cycle to address A/C supply issues with the Yealink phone.
If the device keeps rebooting, powering off, or freezing up, try the following:
- Connect the Yealink phone to a different A/C outlet.
- Remove third-party equipment from the phone setup.
- Check if there’s any damage to the phone’s adapter.
Quick Note: If you’ve noticed any issues with the power supply cable, consider a replacement.
6. Check Yealink’s SIP Registration Status
Well, an issue with the SIP registration will disconnect your phone from the Yealink network and prevent you from both sending and receiving calls.
You can check the status of your Yealink phone by signing in to the web user interface using the phone’s IP address and inserting your details.

Follow these steps to verify the SIP registration of the Yealink phone:
- On your phone, go to “Settings” → “Status” and check the IP.
- Open a web browser on an Ethernet-connected PC or laptop.
- Type down the phone’s IP in the address field and press Enter.
- Sign in to the GUI using “admin/admin” or “admin/password.”
- Navigate to “Account” and ensure “Line Active” is activated.
- Locate the “SIP Server 1” section under the “Account” page.
- Ensure the “Server Host” and “Port” fields have a SIP value.
Note: If either of the fields is empty, you must check in with your system administrator to receive the correct values.
7. Factory Reset the Yealink Phone OS
If none of the solutions so far restored the incoming calls of your Yealink phone, it’s time for the factory reset.
All of your phone’s settings will be restored to default values and the firmware will be reinstalled automatically, which in most cases, turns out to be the only helpful solution.

Here’s how to factory reset a Yealink phone in easy steps:
- First, insert your phone’s IP address to access the web user interface.
- Type the default login credentials (admin/admin) or (admin/password).
- Navigate to “Settings” and press on the “Upgrade” option from the list.
