Eufy S340 Not Connecting To WiFi? (Try These Quick Fixes!)
When your face “Eufy S340 not connecting to WiFi” issue, this pretty much makes your device unusable!
Many users run into this issue while setting up the eufy camera for the first time or after adjusting the Wi-Fi configuration.
The problem often arises from an app problem, a poor internet connection, or even incompatible Wi-Fi settings.
We have prepared some simple and effective solutions to restore the Wi-Fi connection of your eufy S340 in no time. Let’s get started!
Eufy S340 Not Connecting to WiFi – Guaranteed Ways to Fix!
Note: Have you checked if the camera battery is charged to maximum percentage via the app?
1. Reboot the Wi-Fi Camera & Router
A temporary system glitch or an IP conflict might be the underlying reason why your camera keeps failing to establish a connection.
A simple reboot often resolves this issue by refreshing the Wi-Fi details listed in the connection page within the app.
Here’s how to reboot the SoloCam and the network router:
Note: Allow the camera ~1–2 minutes to reconnect after the power cycle!
2. Manually Re-enter the Wi-Fi Password
Well, during the camera setup, the eufy Security app prompts you to use previously saved WiFi credentials and allows you to use autofill.
Apparently, for most users, that could be the reason the camera fails to connect, as the remembered password might belong to a different Wi-Fi.
Here’s how to manually input the WiFi password:
Your eufy S340 camera should now connect successfully!
Note: Ensure your mobile smartphone is on the same Wi-Fi network as the eufy HomeBase!
3. Stabilize Your Internet Connection
An unstable or weak internet connection could also interrupt the pairing process between your eufy S340 and the home WiFi.
So, the next step is to stabilize the WiFi reception of the network via various practices that will improve the loading speed and free up more bandwidth space.
Here are a few ways to stabilize the WiFi connection:
Note: You must connect your S340 to 2.4GHz WiFi since eufy cameras do not support 5GHz.
4. Adjust the Wi-Fi Router Frequency Settings
Your network must meet the network specifications of the eufy S340, otherwise, the camera will fail to establish a secure connection.
You must access the web GUI of your network router and configure particular wireless settings that might affect the eufy S340 camera’s Wi-Fi connection.
To access the router web GUI:
Note: You can also try accessing the router’s GUI through http://192.168.0.1/
Also, you can insert your Default Gateway IP, which can be found on a sticker on the underside of your router.
Once you are in, configure the following settings:
Once you are done with the configuration, you need to restart the router by performing a power cycle, as explained in solution #1.
Only then, try to connect the eufy S340 through the eufy Security application, by updating the Wi-Fi details again.
5. Configure the Wi-Fi Channel of the Router
If your SoloCam S340 is mounted outdoors, then nearby devices operating on the same WiFi channel can cause interference.
Maybe that’s why your eufy SoloCam S340 is not connecting to WiFi, and to counterattack this issue, you could manually adjust the Wi-Fi channel of the router.
Here’s how to change your router’s WiFi channel:
We recommend testing on each of the wireless channels available through the web GUI of the router to determine which one performs sufficiently for the 2.4 GHz band.
Important: Do not forget to reboot the router after each channel adjustment, otherwise, the changes will not take effect immediately.
6. Reset the eufy HomeBase Wi-Fi Details
An outdated or incorrect HomeBase network data can prevent the eufy S340 from connecting properly.
Forgetting and re-adding the HomeBase Wi-Fi details removes any previously stored network data and eliminates the problem.
Here’s how to forget and reconnect to WiFi details in the eufy app:
While waiting for the camera to be set up, check if the eufy Security application on your mobile uses the most current version.
You can check easily through the Google Play or the App Store.
Note: Keep the camera within a ~10–15 feet radius from the router during the setup!
7. Reset the eufy S340 to Default Settings
Perhaps, a factory reset can address underlying issues with the cameras by erasing all settings and data, hence restoring the camera to its default state.
Please note that your camera will be instantaneously removed from the eufy application, and you must redo the setup from scratch.
Here’s how to factory reset the eufy S340 easily:
Now, re-open the eufy Security app, re-register the camera, and reapply each of the old settings one by one, before testing the Wi-Fi.
8. Test the eufy S340 over a Mobile Hotspot
If you have tried all of the previous steps, but your Eufy S340 is not connecting to WiFi, after everything you’ve tried, we recommend using your mobile hotspot to set up the eufy camera.
Well, this is not a sustainable solution, but rather an effective way to determine whether the problem is camera-related or has something to do with your Wi-Fi/broadband.
Here’s how to use a hotspot with the eufy S340:
