How to Fix the eufy S330 Offline Problem? (8 Quick Steps)

Note: Have you checked if there is a red light indication on your eufy S330 camera?

1. Refresh the eufy Camera Wi-Fi Status

When the status of the eufy S330 switches to “Offline” within the app, it does not always mean that the camera has lost connection.

Hence, eufy has designed a status “Refresh” function that updates the connection indicator of your camera.

refresh the eufy camera wi-fi status

All you have to do is tap the Refresh Icon visible in the application’s interface and wait for a few seconds until the camera details update.

If the eufy camera’s Wi-Fi details are not outdated, the status should switch back to “Online” in a brief moment after pressing the refresh button icon.

Important: If this resolves your problem, we strongly recommend continuing troubleshooting, as it’s unclear when the camera would go “Offline” again.

2. Update the HomeBase Wi-Fi Details

The eufy S330 camera does not connect to the internet directly, but uses the existing connection of the eufy HomeBase.

After discharging each of the devices in your system, check the eufy Security app to confirm the S330 status has changed to “Online”.

Keep in mind that you might have to reconnect the eufy HomeBase to Wi-Fi after completing the power reset.

4. Charge the eufy S330 to Maximum Battery

The reason for the Eufy S330 camera’s offline status might be power-related, specifically with the charging of the device.

Fully recharging the camera to maximum capacity ensures the S330 functions properly, without powering off due to power insufficiency.

how to power reset the eufy s330 camera:
  • Connect the S330 with the provided solar panel or a direct USB Type-C cable.
  • Wait until the camera battery status within the eufy Security app reaches 100%.

Wait for at least 10–15 minutes after fully recharging the camera and check if the Wi-Fi status changes from “Online” to “Offline”.

This way, you can identify the exact moment at which your camera loses connection and determine if the charging is involved in any way.

5. Shorten the Camera-HomeBase Distance

The eufy S330 camera might keep losing connection if it is too far away from the HomeBase or there is a large amount of obstructions in-between.

A wall or two is often not a problem for the 2.4 GHz, but positioning the camera beyond 100 feet from the HomeBase could be a problem.

So, place the eufy S330 within two feet of the HomeBase 3, follow the instructions in solution #2 to update the HomeBase Wi-Fi details, then slowly move the camera away.

Keep checking and refreshing the eufy S330 camera Wi-Fi status within the eufy Security app during that time.

6. Re-add the eufy S330 Device Profile

Well, a synchronization problem with the HomeBase could disrupt the Wi-Fi connection of the camera, leading to persistent losses of the reception.

Removing and re-adding the camera in the eufy Security application can address everything at once.

7. Troubleshoot Issues with the Network

If your eufy S330 camera is still unable to establish a secure connection, the issue could be with the Wi-Fi network.

So, ZontSound recommends several different methods to address potentially underlying issues with the network equipment.

troubleshoot issues with the network

7.1: Reduce Network Usage:

Start by disconnecting unnecessary devices from your Wi-Fi to reduce the bandwidth usage, ensuring the 2.4 GHz band has enough capacity for your eufy S330.

This helps prevent connection disruptions that might cause the camera to go offline consistently.

7.2: Reset the Wi-Fi Router:

Locate the Reset button of your router, press it for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset, then reconfigure the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

We only recommend this step when you are confident that you can rebuild the network configuration of your router.

If not, get in touch with your ISP.

reset the wi-fi router:

Warning: Resetting the router will erase all network configurations and settings, so you’ll need to set up your router from scratch.

7.3: Test on a Mobile Hotspot:

If troubleshooting the network does not resolve the problem, try updating the HomeBase details to your smartphone hotspot instead.

Simply activate the personal hotspot function of the phone, then follow the instructions in solution #2 to pair the HomeBase with your smartphone and test.

8. Factory reset the eufy S330 Camera

If the Eufy S330 is offline regardless of the solutions you have attempted so far, a factory reset is your resort.

Unfortunately, all of the camera Wi-Fi details and settings will be erased by the factory reset, hopefully along with the underlying Wi-FI errors.
