Why is My Babysense Monitor Beeping? (Quick Fix)

babysense monitor beeping

Babysense monitor beeping without a pattern and no specific reason? Well, we’ve got you covered!

The beeping on the Babysense monitor is typically a warning or alert.

There are many possibilities for an alert, some of which include low battery, out-of-range, disconnection, and too-low or too-high temperature.

Hence, there are a lot of things to try and resolve the beeping:

  • Verify the monitor is charging (battery is not low).
  • Shorten the space between the Babysense units.
  • Unpair and reconnect the monitor to the camera.
  • Adjust or disable the high/low-temperature alerts.
  • Factory reset the monitor and restart the camera.
  • Reconnect your rechargeable Babysense battery.

If something is unclear, find the in-depth explanation below!

How to Fix the Babysense Monitor Beeping in 6 Simple Steps?

Quick Tip: Checking your monitor for any warnings can lead you in the right troubleshooting direction!

1. Verify Babysense is Fully Charged

verify babysense is fully charged

The first and most important reason for constant or intermittent beeping on Babysense monitors is low battery, hence you must begin with an inspection.

So, take a close look at the battery indicator on the top right of your Babysense monitor to check whether the battery is low, and if yes, connect it to the charger.

By the book, your parent unit requires 8 hours to fully load up the 2100 mAh rechargeable battery, but you don’t need to wait that long.

Simply, connect the monitor and the baby unit (camera) to a power outlet for about 10 minutes, and in the meantime keep reading this guide.

Later, you should test whether the beeping is there.

Quick Tip: Try to switch the charging adapters of both units to check whether this will stop the beeping!

2. Shorten your Babysense Distance

shorten your babysense distance

The next and crucial step against the constant beeping from the Babysense monitor is to shorten the distance between the camera and the parent unit.

The recommended distance in an open space is about 960 feet, but this does not consider any obstructions, such as walls, interference, and the environment.

What we recommend trying first is relocating both Babysense units into the same room, just to check whether the constant beeping will disappear.

If yes, then you’re facing a distance or signal problem.

There are a few things you can try:

  • Choose a different spot for your Babysense monitor.
  • Elevate the position of your Babysense camera unit.
  • Verify that your Babysense units are not obstructed.
  • Remove covers or solid objects between your units.

Important: Check for Interference!

When speaking about the distance and signal, we can’t skip mentioning that interference is another very common reason for constant beeping.

Sources of interference could be electronic devices, transmitters of wireless signals (networks), or other appliances in close proximity to your Babysense camera or monitor.

Quick Tip: Try relocating any sources of interference away from your Babysense and check for beeping!

3. Unpair & Pair the Babysense Units

unpair & pair the babysense units

Sometimes the Babysense video monitor beeping is caused due to a lost connection between the baby and parent unit.

A quick and easy way to refresh the connection is to disconnect the camera from your monitor and re-establish the pairing from scratch.

The process is very simple, as long as you follow these instructions:

  1. On your Babysense monitor, head to the Menu.
  2. Select the camera icon and choose “Camera 1”.
  3. Choose “Delete” to remove the Babysense unit.
  4. Relocate both devices right next to each other.
  5. On your monitor, press the Menu/Return button.
  6. Go to “Camera Settings” and then select “OK.”
  7. Use the arrows to select the camera for pairing.
  8. Locate the Pairing button on the camera’s back.
  9. Hold the button for about 10 seconds to begin.
  10. Release the button whenever your cam is paired.
  11. Finally, press the Menu/Return button to go back.

When your Babysense units are successfully connected, you can separate them while minding the range, and check whether the monitor will continue beeping.

If yes, keep reading…

4. Adjust or Disable the Temp Alert

adjust or disable the temp alert

The continuous or intermittent beeping of the Babysense monitor could be coming from the temperature alert, especially whenever the temperature is too high or too low.

  • The default values for temperature alert on the Babysense are >31°C/89°F and <15°C/59°F, which triggers a beeping alarm whenever exceeded.

You have two options–either change the values to prevent the alarm from triggering constantly, or disable the alert, which will prevent your monitor from beeping.

How to Adjust the Temperature Threshold?

  1. On your Babysense monitor go to the “Menu”.
  2. Select “Settings” and press the Menu/Return.
  3. Press on the Temperature and Menu/Return.
  4. Adjust the High Temp and Low Temp settings.

Quick Tip: Providing a wider threshold for both High and Low temperatures will prevent the monitor from beeping that frequently.

How to Disable the Temperature Warnings?

To disable the temperature warning, therefore the alert beepings, in the same Temperature settings menu, tap the Alert Settings under “High Temp” and “Low Temp”.

From there, you can disable them permanently.

Important Note: Disabling the temperature alerts will also stop the out-of-range and low battery warnings!

5. Factory Reset the Babysense Units

If nothing helps and your Babysense monitor keeps beeping uncontrollably, you may need to perform the well-known factory reset.

Only the parent unit can be factory reset, but we also recommend power cycling the baby unit during the process as well, to refresh all of the operating services and hopefully fix the issue.

factory reset the babysense units

Here’s how to factory reset your Babysense equipment in easy steps:

  1. Verify that both your Babysense units are working.
  2. Disconnect the power adapters from both devices.
  3. Flip the switch on the camera to the OFF position.
  4. Press and hold the “RESET” button on the monitor.
  5. Hold the reset button for 10–15 seconds to reset.
  6. Info: The reset button is located under the stand.

This will factory reset the Babysense monitor. When ready, you need to pair the baby unit with the parent unit so follow the instructions back in solution #3.

If this doesn’t work and the monitor is still beeping, there is one more thing you should try!

6. Reconnect the Baby Monitor Battery

The final solution against the constant Babysense monitor beeping is to reconnect the battery.

This is very easy, but we strongly recommend following the instructions we’ve prepared to avoid damaging the parent unit or the rechargeable battery.

reconnect the baby monitor battery

Here’s how to reconnect the battery on a Babysense monitor:

  1. Unplug the parent unit from the power adapter.
  2. Verify that the surface and your hands are dry.
  3. Open the battery compartment of the monitor.
  4. Check where the internal battery is connected.
  5. Disconnect the battery and wait for 5 minutes.
  6. Connect the battery back to the right terminal.
  7. Turn on both your Babysense monitor and cam.

If your Babysense monitor is now charging, there is no actual reason for the constant beeping.

If you still experience the weird issue, it’s time to contact Babysense customer support or try to claim your warranty.
