Why Are My Raycon Earbuds Cutting Out Constantly?
The first step to improve the audio output of the Raycon earbuds is to identify what can cause the persistent interruptions.

Let’s review a complete list containing all causes for the Raycon audio issues:
This is what can potentially impact the audio output of the Raycon earbuds.
Let’s solve the problem in a few proven steps!
Raycon Earbuds Cutting Out – Fixed in 7 Proven Steps
Quick Tip: To solve the issue faster, follow the steps consecutively!
1. Stop the Raycon’s “Awareness Mode”
Users have repeatedly reported that the “Awareness Mode” function of the Raycon earbuds can muffle the audio output or cause interruptions.
The awareness mode allows a bit of outside sound through the noise cancellation, so you don’t have to persistently remove an earbud.
Here’s how to deactivate the “Awareness Mode” of the Raycon earbuds:
- Take the earbuds out from the charging case.
- Place both earbuds into your ears and play.
- Hold your right earbud for up to ~3 seconds.
- Wait until the “Awareness Mode” deactivates.
What “Tap” Functions Does Raycon Have?
Based on the continuity or pattern of your tap, you will be able to adjust different functions provided by the Raycon earbuds.
Let’s study the quick access settings of your earbuds!
On the Right Earbud:
- One tap – raises the produced earbud volume.
- Tripe tap – Skips the track or song forward.
- Hold – deactivates the “Awareness Mode.”
On the Left Earbud:
- One tap – reduces the produced earbud volume.
- Tripe tap – Plays the previous track in the playlist.
- Hold – allows for adjustment of the produced bass.
Note: Older Raycon earbuds may not have built-in functions on both the right and left earbuds.
2. Shorten the Wireless Distance
One of the factors you should be aware of while using the Raycon earbuds is the distance from the Bluetooth device.
Well, standing farther than 15 feet from the Bluetooth device may cause periodic disruptions in the output, and moving out farther than 20 feet may unpair the earbuds.
Although the distance may vary throughout the Raycon earbuds models, it is widely accepted to maintain a distance shorter than 10 feet for optimal connection.
Bringing your earbuds or the Bluetooth device past the 10-foot recommendation may cause periodic disruptions in the audio.
Note: The persistent audio disruptions may include audio cutouts for longer than 5 seconds!
3. Reconnect the Raycon Earbuds
The most reliable solution whenever Raycon earbuds keep cutting out is to unpair the buds from your device’s Bluetooth and connect them again.
After being paired once, the Bluetooth profile of the earbuds will be registered into the system of your device, allowing for quick future pairing.
Here’s how to reconnect the Raycon earbuds in easy steps:
- Place both of the Raycon earbuds into the case.
- Open the “Settings” app on your Bluetooth device.
- Next, turn off the Bluetooth at the “Wireless” page.
- Wait 15 seconds while the Bluetooth is turned off.
- Re-activate the feature and take both earbuds out.
- Wait until the connection status says “Connected.”
Well, remember that the Raycon earbuds use automatic pairing technology, so they will not connect unless taken out of the charging case.
To successfully disconnect the earbuds, they must be positioned within the charting case simultaneously and then taken out one by one.
Note: Verify that the earbuds and the case are within range upon taking them out of the case!
4. Fully Recharge the Raycon Earbuds
In case the audio instability is caused by an improperly charged earbuds setup, the next step should be to check the battery capacity of the charging case and both earbuds.
You can track the battery status of the Raycon case by recognizing the LED indications on the front of the case.
As for the buds, you can check the 4 lights on the inside of the charging case.
If 4 out of 4 or 3 out of 4 lamps are lit, it means that the Raycon earbuds are charged sufficiently.
How to Charge the Raycon Capsule?
The Raycon charging case uses a standard USB type-C cable, compatible with many recent models of the earbud collection.
To charge the case, simply connect the USB-C cable with a power adapter compatible with 12V output, plug it into an outlet, and wait for 40–50 minutes.
How to Charge the Raycon Earbuds?
To ensure both earbuds are charging along with the case, verify that the Raycon’s are inserted securely and have made contact with the bottom plate.
Once placed inside, the earbuds create an electromagnetic environment, allowing for quick and efficient charging.
There will be a visual blinking indication after inserting an earbud into the charging case!
Info: The charging case takes about 1 hour to charge from 0% capacity up to 100%.
5. Unpair & Pair the Raycon Buds
If simply reconnecting the earbuds did not restore the stability of the earbuds’s audio broadcast, you should forget and then re-add the connection of your Raycons.
This will resolve issues with the Bluetooth configuration of the Raycon earbuds and significantly boost the connection quality.
Alert: While removed, the earbuds will not be able to pair with your mobile device!

Warning: Do not interact with the earbuds for the next 60 seconds once the reset begins!
7. Pair Earbuds to a Different Device
If you still can’t localize the culprit for the cutting audio on your Raycon earbuds, we recommend pairing them to a different Bluetooth device.
This would immediately reveal whether the earbuds are defective themselves or the problem comes from the Bluetooth device and its configuration.
If your earbuds work well with the secondary device, well, you may need to consider resetting the previous Bluetooth device to default.
Reminder: Unpair your earbuds from the previous device, before pairing to another!
