How to Fix Whenever Soundcore Earbuds One Not Working?

Note: Before proceeding, ensure both earbuds are charging to maximum battery capacity.

1. Pair the Earbuds to Each Other

pair the earbuds to each other

Perhaps, the Soundcore earbuds have simply lost connection to one another and thus, cannot output your device’s audio equally.

The first and most effective step is to reconnect the earbuds, by re-enabling the pairing mode and following specific setup instructions.

Here’s how to reconnect the Soundcore earbuds easily:

  1. Deactivate the Bluetooth function on your device.
  2. Place both buds in the Soundcore charging case.
  3. Ensure both earbuds are at the same battery level.
  4. Next, remove the earbuds from the charging case.
  5. Then, wait until the earbuds enter the Pairing Mode.
  6. Re-activate the Bluetooth of your smartphone device.
  7. Now, retry to connect with the profile of your earbuds.

Note: If your smartphone manages to connect with only one of the earbuds, place the paired earbuds back into the case and connect them separately.

2. Attempt the Sequential Earbud Reset

attempt the sequential earbud reset

Many users suggest that despite resetting them, the Soundcore earbuds one side not working problem persists.

However, there’s a specific method for resetting only one of your earbuds, that fails to connect with your device and play audio, hence this might just be the best solution.

Follow these instructions to conduct a sequential reset on the Soundcore earbud:

  1. Identify the faulty Soundcore earbud (left or right).
  2. Hold the action button on the earbud for 8 seconds.
  3. Release once the LED indicator blinks and then wait.
  4. Next, place the faulty earbud into the charging case.
  5. Hold the case’s “Power” button for several seconds.
  6. Keep the lid open until the LED starts flashing rapidly.
  7. Wait for 30 seconds and test the Soundcore earbud.

The Soundcore technology allows for the earbuds to be reset individually, depending on whether one or both buds are in the case. If only one is in the case, the factory reset must be successful.

Tip: If needed, repeat the same reset procedure separately for the other Soundcore earbud!

3. Deactivate the “Wear Detection” Feature

deactivate the “wear detection” feature

The “Wear Detection” feature allows your earbuds to automatically recognize whenever they are placed in your ears.

A potential fault with the feature or the Soundcore application can lead to functionality problems with either of the earbuds.

Here are thorough instructions on how to disable “Wear Detection:”

  1. Open the Soundcore app on your smartphone device
  2. Next, tap on your earbuds within the devices section.
  3. Tap the gear “Settings” icon in the upper-right corner.
  4. Tap the “Wearing Detection” tile to access the options.
  5. Set “Auto Play/Pause” and all other features to “Off.”
  6. Finally, save the changes, exit the menu, and then test.

The wear detection is designed to automatically resume the music your connected device plays when placed in your ears.

However, check if there are any extra functions assigned to the wear detection within the feature’s configuration tab.

4. Forget & Re-Add the Earbuds Profile

So, whenever Soundcore earbuds only one side works, forgetting and re-adding the connection profile is another proven solution.

Misconfiguring some of the earbuds’ Bluetooth settings may lead to issues with an abundance of features, as well as problems with the audio output playout.

Note: After the profile of the Soundcore earbuds is successfully removed, redo the initial setup without configuring any unnecessary Bluetooth settings.

5. Check Phone’s “Audio Balance” Option

check phone’s “audio balance” option

All smartphones have an audio balance feature, used for transferring the audio output from the left to the right or the other way around.

  • Transferring the balance to the left or right will lower or entirely mute the output of one of the earbuds.

Respectively, the audio balance setting is called differently on Androids and iPhones.

  1. Open the Settings app and head to “Accessibility.”
  2. Go down to the “Audio and On-Screen Text” pane.
  3. Locate the “Audio Balance” slider within the options.

  5. Save the changes and test the Soundcore earbuds.

If equalizing the audio balance distribution does not help either, try transferring the balance entirely to the faulty earbud.

Once you’re done testing, move the slider back to the middle.

6. Update the Earbuds’s Firmware Build

update the earbuds’s firmware build

An outdated firmware build is another leading reason for the Soundcore earbuds one not working.

Fortunately, you don’t have to settle for manual OS updates with Soundcore, as the mobile application immediately notifies the user whenever there’s a newer firmware version.

How to Check for Newer Firmware On the Soundcore App?

If there’s a newer OS version available for the earbuds, there will be a red dot in the left corner of the app that you can press and follow the instructions.

As long as your device has a stable internet connection, the update will be finished in less than 2 minutes, after which the buds will reboot.

7. Check Earbuds for Charging Issues

One of the Soundcore earbuds might have refused to pair as a result of improper charging.

So, if one of your earbuds is dead (0% battery) you may be facing equipment defects, outlet issues, or involvement of third-party equipment.

We recommend the following steps when checking for charging issues:

  • Ensure both earbuds are securely placed in your case.
  • Check for stickers or obstructions on the case or buds.
  • Attempt to charge the earbuds through a different outlet.
  • Remove third-party equipment from the earbuds’ setup.
  • Charge the case with a different charging cable/adapter.

Note: If the Soundcore case is charging, the first and second LEDs will be illuminated and will change patterns based on the current battery percentage.

8. Connect Earbuds to a Different Device

If neither of the solutions we’ve gone through worked, there could be a problem with the source device–a smartphone or other wireless device.

A persistent problem with the Bluetooth function might be negating the connection of only one of the earbuds, resulting in periodic output issues.

So, we recommend forgetting the buds on your current device and testing an alternative smartphone or computer with enabled wireless pairing.

Note: If nothing works, it’s likely a hardware defect, so it’s best to attempt to claim the warranty!
