Epson Projector Flashing Blue Light – Quick Ways to Fix!

Epson Projector Power Light Flashing Blue

If your Epson projector’s power light is flashing in blue color, your device might be stuck in a boot loop (setup mode), or there is a laser warning or a firmware error.

1. Power Cycle your Epson Projector

The first and easiest step when the power light of your Epson projector is blinking blue is to power cycle the projector.

This is a secure method of refreshing the system, without erasing anything but rebooting all services, and hopefully fixing the issue.

To power cycle your Epson projector, simply unplug the power adapter from the electrical outlet and wait for about 60 seconds.

That would be enough time to refresh the voltage, reboot the system, and hopefully the blinking blue light will disappear.

2. Update Epson’s Projector Firmware

You can update your Epson projector by using a PC with the Epson Updater Tool installed, and a USB Type-A to USB Mini-B cable.

All you need to do is download, install the tool, and select the model of your projector to check whether any new upgrades are available for downloading.

When you have the Epson updater, installed follow the steps below:

1. First, connect the Epson projector to your computer.
2. Open the Epson updater tool and select your model.
3. When a new update shows up, highlight the update.
4. Verify that your connected projector is currently “On”.
5. Select the “Firmware Updater” and “Install item(s)”.

Alternatively, you can download the firmware file from the support page of your Epson projector model and manually install the update.
