Beats Studio Pro Noise Cancelling Not Working? (Quick Fix!)
Beats Studio Pro noise cancelling not working, and worried? Yes, it can prevent you from silencing the world around you at critical moments.
While Transparency mode is great, it’s very inconvenient in situations like enduring a baby’s cries on public transportation or focusing in a crowded café.
The Beats Studio Pro, similar to most generations of AirPods, comes with several active noise control settings, such as “Noise Cancellation”, “Transparency”, and “Off”.
If you’re unable to switch between the modes, or only the cancellation won’t work, this quick guide has got you covered with the best solutions available.
Beats Studio Pro Noise Cancelling Not Working – Quick Fix!
Note: Have you made sure the Beats Studio Pro headset is charged to 100%?
1. Toggle the Noise Cancellation Manually
Perhaps, you haven’t activated the Noise Cancellation mode of the Beats Studio Pro, and your Beats headset is still working under “Transparency”.
As for 2025, the firmware of the Beats Studio Pro does not allow for automatic mode changes, so you would have to do it manually.
- Press the System button on your Beats Studio Pro twice to toggle between Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode.
The mode will activate immediately after the short beep, and you can switch back to the other mode by pressing the System button twice again.
Then, test the noise cancellation by playing any audio track on the Beats Studio Pro headset and determine whether the problem persists.

2. Soft Reset the Beats Studio Pro Headset
A soft reset can address most of the potential underlying problems with your Beats Studio Pro, without affecting any of the Bluetooth and connection settings.
Similar to the previous step, you can use the built-in System button to also power off the headset, besides changing the modes.
Follow these steps to soft reset the Beats Studio Pro:
- Locate the System button on the right earcup of the Beats Pro.
- Press and hold the System button for one second to power off.
- Now, reboot the headset and test the noise cancellation feature.
Note: You will have to reactivate the noise cancellation after soft resetting the headset.
3. Re-add the Beats Studio Device Profile
A problem with the Beats Studio Pro Bluetooth profile on the phone or computer could also prevent the activation of the noise-cancelling mode.
This usually happens due to interference with other audio modes issued by the system of your smartphone.
3.1 How to Re-Pair Beats Studio Pro on Android:
- Access the “Settings” application on your Android phone.
- Go to Connected devices → Connection preferences.
- Press “Forget” or “Unpair” next to the Beats Studio Pro.
3.2 How to Re-Pair Beats Studio Pro on iPhone:

Once you are done with the removal, pair your Beats Studio Pro by holding the System button until the lights flash, and press the profile under “Discovered Devices”.
Reminder: Keep in mind that this clears all the Bluetooth settings of the Beats Studio Pro!
4. Update the Beats Studio Pro Firmware
If your Beats Studio Pro headphones’ noise cancelling is not working even after re-adding your device profile, then the issue is almost guaranteed to be with the firmware.

All you have to do is assign either of the audio modes for your Beats headset by tapping once.
Open the Control Center on your iOS device, touch and hold the volume control, then tap the Noise Control button to select Noise Cancellation, Transparency, or Off.
Try to determine if the noise cancellation is responsive by playing audio through your headset.
Note: We recommend unpairing the headset after adjusting the audio mode, before testing!
6. Test the Beats Studio Pro on a Different Device
Well, connecting the Beats Studio Pro to an alternative smartphone or computer allows you to seamlessly identify if the fault is with the headset itself or not.

7. Switch the Headset to a Wired Connection
Another way you can test the noise cancellation of the Beats Studio Pro headset is by switching to a wired USB Type-C connection.
In some cases, your headset might fail to engage either of the spatial modes due to a temporary glitch with the Bluetooth connection.
Connect your Beats Studio Pro to your device with a USB Type-C cable and press the System button twice in a row to test the noise cancellation.
If successful, keep using a wired connection until the issue with the Bluetooth is diagnosed and resolved.
8. Factory Reset the Beats Studio Pro
In case the Beats Studio Pro noise-cancelling is not working after going through all of the solutions so far, a factory reset can be a highly effective workaround.
The procedure erases all data on your headset, including the Bluetooth connection, spatial modes, and audio settings in the application.
Follow these steps to factory reset the Beats Studio Pro easily:
- Hold the Power button on your Beats Studio Pro for about 10 seconds.
- You should release after the LEDs blink white, then red, repeating 3 times.
- Wait for the lights to stop flashing, confirming the factory reset is complete.
