Update Beats Studio Pro on Android
To update the firmware of your Beats Studio Pro through an Android device, you’ll need to have the Beats app installed on your device.
So, let’s walk you through the chronological instructions.
1. Install & Set Up the Beats App
Since you don’t need the Beats app to use your Beats Studio Pro, you may not have it installed, hence, that should be your first step towards updating the firmware.
You can quickly get the Beats app through the Google Play Store on your Android.
Here’s how to download the Beats app on your Android:
If you can’t download the Beats app due to regional restrictions, refer to the Beats support article on downloading the Beats app manually.
Note: If you have previously installed the Beats Pill+ application on your phone, you must first remove it to install the Beats app.
2. Add Headphones to the Beats App
The next step is to link your Beats Studio Pro to your Android device!
First, you need to turn on your Beats Studio Pro by pressing the System button on the right ear cup.
Then you can either follow the Beats app “Fast Pair” instructions or head to the Bluetooth menu of your Android phone and tap the wireless profile of your Beats Studio Pro headphones.
You need to have your Beats Studio Pro wirelessly “connected” to your Android smartphone!
Tip: If your Beats Studio Pro won’t appear in the Bluetooth menu of your phone, press and hold the “System” button for ~3–4 seconds to put them in “Pairing Mode”.
